TIPS FOR YOUR TRIP

Inspiration, planning and more

The climate in the Galapagos Islands is considered subtropical, with relatively stable temperatures throughout the year. However, there are some seasonal variations that should be taken into account.

- Warm season (December to May): During these months, temperatures tend to be higher, ranging between 24°C and 30°C. It is the rainy season, with possible downpours and cloudiness. It is also the time when warm ocean currents, known as the El Niño current, can affect the region, which can have an impact on water temperatures and marine life.

- Cool season (June to November): During these months, temperatures are slightly lower, around 20°C to 26°C. It is the time when the Humboldt Current influences the Galapagos Islands, bringing with it colder waters and a drier climate. The presence of the Humboldt Current also causes increased marine life activity, making it an excellent time for diving and marine life viewing.

In general, the Galapagos Islands have a pleasant climate throughout the year, but it is recommended to take into account seasonal differences and plan activities based on weather conditions and personal preferences.

Blue Booby Travels 1110x300 (3).jpg

Nowadays it seems difficult to live without the internet, but when we talk about traveling, sometimes it becomes essential, or, at least, very practical. To locate hotels or restaurants, look at tour operator reviews, GPS...

On the islands it is easy to find a SIM card, you have three main companies: Claro, Movistar and Tuenti.

In general, the internet works quite slowly, although I have always used Claro and I have not had any major problems.

Another (very good) option is to buy an eSIM from Holafly. You can buy it from your country of origin. You just have to install it and activate it on your phone and it guarantees internet as soon as you arrive in the country. The only thing you need is a compatible mobile phone with eSIM. You can see the list of compatible phoneshere.

If you buy it fromthis link you will get a 5% discount by entering the code PIQUEROAZUL.
